Welcome to the Chelmsford Housing Authority

The Chelmsford Housing Authority is committed to providing safe, affordable housing and supportive services to elderly individuals, people with disabilities, and families in need. We believe in fostering dignity, respect, and understanding for every person we serve.

Our mission goes beyond housing—we strive to empower families on their path to self-sufficiency and, ultimately, homeownership. We connect individuals with disabilities to vital local resources tailored to their specific needs, and we support older adults in maintaining independence and aging in place within a vibrant community setting.

Recognizing that compassionate service is essential, we rely on the dedication of our staff, the guidance of our Board of Commissioners, and the strength of our community partnerships. Together, we work to ensure that all residents have access to housing and opportunities that allow them to thrive as valued members of the community.

Commitment to Excellence

At the Chelmsford Housing Authority, we take pride in our role as a retained revenue state agency. While we receive limited funding from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, we work diligently to operate and modernize our state-aided housing with efficiency and care.

In our federally funded programs, we proudly maintain a 100% utilization rate of our housing vouchers—demonstrating our dedication to maximizing resources and meeting the needs of our community. We remain steadfast in our mission to develop and manage affordable housing opportunities that support a diverse range of income levels across Chelmsford.
